About us

We are two enthusiastic learners of Chinese. Our passion for China grew during our stays in Beijing, at Tsinghua University and in Suzhou with an industry partner, and we have stayed with the language ever since. We tried various formats on ourselves, above all a lot with Anki: building our own decks and studying from them. Over time that became the Gushi app, where the best of those methods come together and which is for us the most efficient and the coolest way to learn Chinese.

In conversations with Chinese teachers and language schools, two things struck us: the switch to the HSK 3.0 format is not that easy, and most of them would like to understand better what their students do outside the lesson. That is how the Teaching Platform came about.

We are both in our 20s, fully motivated at learning Chinese, and we are glad of feedback and of an exchange about learning Chinese.
